Rotary

“Rotary International is the world’s first service club organization, with more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide. Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto Service Above Self.”

Rotary is the organization that gave me the chance to be able to go on this life changing journey of mine to Poland.  Rotary is responsible for many international projects but I am personally thankful for their Rotary Youth Exchange Program.  If it weren’t for this program I wouldn’t have been able to experience the adventures, places, culture and people of Poland.  I just can’t thank them enough for everything they have done for me.  I would like to personally thank the Rotary Club of Johnstown Pennsylvania, District 7330 for presenting this wonderful opportunity to me and helping me prepair for my stay here in Poland.  I would also like to thank my host Rotary Club of Koszalin, Poland District 2230 for opening their arms to me and welcoming me into their lives.  I just could not tell you how great the Rotary Youth Exchange Program is, you would have to experience it for yourself.

I do encourage every highschooler out there to at least consider going on an exchange of your own.  I ask you to please just take a look into the exchange program and see if your interested in it.  It was absolutely the best decision I have ever made in my life.  If you would like to know more about the Rotary Youth Exchange Program please check out their website right here.
